The From Grape to Glass Wine Festival returns in 2009 after a successful debut in January 2008. Over 200 people attended the event in 2008 and an even bigger crowd is expected at The Crossing Theatre on the afternoon of Saturday the 10th of January.

A selection of regional wineries will be showcasing their latest wines throughout the afternoon and will be able to guide attendees as to what wines will suit their needs best.

A series of two tasting sessions will occur during the afternoon, with a break in between. During the break (and throughout the entire event) the Crossing Theatre bar will be operating and selling wine by the glass and by the bottle for attendees to enjoy. The bar will also be selling beer and spirits.

In a change from last time, attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase wine directly from the wineries to take home after the event. These transactions will take place with the wineries, and then the bottles will be available to collect at the exit on departure.

A number of non-wine stalls will also be operating, so that attendees can do some post Christmas shopping as they taste some of the regions finest wines.

Due to popular demand, performers Matt Scullion and Laurie Minson return in 2009 to once again set the perfect wine drinking atmosphere. However, they will also be accompanied by three times flat pick guitar champion and brilliant mandolin and fiddle player, Andrew Clermont.

As an additional attraction 15 minute helicopter rides over Narrabri and Mount Kaputar will also be operating throughout the event. Flights are only $60 and will depart from the Crossing Theatre. To ensure you don’t miss out on this opportunity it is advised that you book beforehand by contacting Why Leave Town Promotions.

Tickets for the event are now on sale, and those that purchase their’s before the event receive a discount.
